Yesterday was Apple Event Day 2020 and I was super excited to finally learn about the iPhone 12 Series release. It felt like Christmas to see the unboxing of iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. In the times of COVID-19 and the financial hardships that many of us have faced this year I was hoping that Apple kept the price points for iPhone 12 Series at or below $1100 so that it could be affordable to consumers.
I was delighted to learn that Apple did not disappoint with the pricing and started at $699 for the iPhone 12 Mini while the iPhone 12 will start at $799.
Apple also upped the storage space to 512GB for some of the 12 Series models!! *INSERT MIND BLOWN 🤯 EMOJI HERE*
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models starting at $999 and $1,099, respectively. The iPhone 12 Series models are built with a thinner design. The frame design reminds me of the iPhone 5 series. The 12 Series displays also have OLED Pixel displays with high resolution to showcase vibrate colors while streaming, gaming, or taking pictures. Apple boasts to have created a nearly indestructible display by partnering with Owens Corning to create a 'Ceramic Shield' layering over the top of the display glass that is supposed to provide "4 times protection" against screen shattering. (HA! We'll see if this technology and claim proves to be true.) iPhone 12 Series is also the first 5G capable device by Apple and Verizon Wireless customers will be the first to experience 5G on its network. 12MP Wide Aperture back camera comes standard on all the 12 Series models. This camera has an awesome night mode that allows for better low light performance when capturing nighttime images. I am geeked out about the improvements made in the wireless charging technology and the new capability to use MagSafe charging technology on these iPhone models. If you have an Apple Watch then you are familiar with the MagSafe wireless charger. The introduction of this technology for the 12 Series will also allow for magnetic accessories such as cases, wallets, and hands-free car mounts.
Enough of that! Let's get to the star of the iPhone 12 Series. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the iPhone 12 Pro Max! This phone is THEE phone of my dreams. I have had the iPhone XS Max since 2018 and have not upgraded since the iPhone 11 Pro Max did not have many noticeable differences for me to make the leap. Baby... the iPhone 12 Pro Max has got what I need!!
✅ Bigger display - 6.7' display. I like big phones and I cannot lie 🤷🏾♀️. ✅ Phenomenal Camera - Front-facing true depth camera, 12 MP Wide camera with a telephoto lens for ultra-wide shots, and tighter zoom
in feature in the back camera.
✅ Up to 512GB of storage space! I am a Selfie Queen and have 49,093 photos in my phone so I need these 512GB of storage space in my life!
This is my phone and I want it NOW!! I just want Apple to take my money NOW! I watched Apple Event Day with a client of mine, Melinda Smith Lamm of Photo Artistry by Melinda, who is a photographer and has the iPhone 11 Pro Max. I watched her mouth drop as she listened to the photo and editing software capabilities of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Per Melinda, "This phone is a game-changer for photography!"
If you're reading this, today is your lucky day because all Geek In Heels customers will be receiving a FREE IPHONE 12 PRO MAX!!! That's right! You get an iPhone 12 Pro Max! You get an iPhone 12 Pro Max! You get an iPhone 12 Pro Max! EVERYBODY GETS AN IPHONE 12 PRO MAX AT GEEK IN HEELS!!!!
Just kidding 😬. I am just super excited and in love with the iPhone 12 Pro Max - can you tell? If you are not into big phones then the iPhone 12 Mini may be the phone for you. iPhone 12 Mini has a 5.4' display size, a bit smaller than the iPhone 8.
I am truly impressed with the features of the iPhone 12 Series. I am also anxious to see how durable the Ceramic Shield screen technology is at preventing screen shattering. I am not convinced that it will work but we shall see 😏. Before making any device upgrade ask yourself, "Is it worth it? Do I need this?" If you are still using an iPhone 6 and it works for you, do not feel anxious to upgrade your device. Use what works for you and your needs. Beloved, if you have an Android phone... I would like for you to take your phone and throw it in the trash. Buy an iPhone! I don't know who needs to hear this but Android users mess up group text messages. GET AN IPHONE!
That's it! That's all that I have for now. As always, feel free to contact Geek In Heels Computer and Cell Phone Repair with your device questions at Info@TheGeekInHeels.com or (336) 794-6762.
